Ready for Charles (Ted Danson) to wear a pocket square again for a new case in A Man on the Inside Season 2? The Netflix original series based on the documentary The Mole Agent has Danson and creator Mike Schur crossing their fingers for a return.

[Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers from A Man on the Inside.]

‘A Man on the Inside’ Season 1 began streaming on Nov. 21, 2024

Netflix unveiled A Man on the Inside on Nov. 21, 2024, when season 1 premiered. In it, Danson’s character, Charles, is living a lonely life after the death of his wife. Then, he sees a classified ad from private investigator Julie (Lilah Richcreek Estrada). He gets hired—largely because he’s the best of a sorry bunch of interviewees—to go undercover at the Pacific View Retirement Home in San Francisco, California.

His task? To find out what happened to a stolen necklace belonging to one of the residents. Following some training from Julie, Charles heads to Pacific View. But he quickly learns solving the mystery won’t be as simple as it sounds.

There’s the retirement home’s director, Didi (Stephanie Beatriz), who keeps a close watch on the residents. Then there are the many people Charles has to covertly interview without drawing attention to himself. Along the way, Charles makes new friends—and, for a short time, an enemy—while also learning things about himself.

Ted Danson and the ‘A Man on the Inside’ creator don’t know if season 2 will happen

Think the people behind the series would know what’s in store? Think again. Schur, the creator of the show, told Deadline the A Man on the Inside team is waiting to hear whether or not it will return.

“We’re sort of in a fingers crossed, we’ll [cross] that bridge when we come to it, kind of a deal,” Schur said. “But I will say that there is no shortage of ideas from me and from other writers about what we might do in a future season. Fingers crossed, we’ll see.” Crossing his fingers, Danson added, “Dear Lord, yes.”

At the time of writing, A Man on the Inside holds the top spot in Netflix’s Top 10 TV shows in the U.S. Today category. So, subscribers seem to be enjoying the show, which bodes well for a potential season 2. Of course, though, only time will tell what happens.

Viewers may not have to wait long. After the warm reception that Nobody Wants This got back in September 2024, Netflix quickly announced they’d renewed the show for a second season.

Although Charles solved the case of the missing necklace, the storyline wasn’t entirely wrapped up by the end of the finale. In the last moments of the episode, Charles answered a phone call from Julie.

“I can’t believe I’m saying this but I have another job for you,” she said, after reluctantly calling him at her associate’s urging. “Say no more,” Charles replied, hanging up the phone only to call her back. “Hey, sorry, I do need you to say more,” he said. “But whatever it is, I’m in.”

So, whatever the case is, viewers and the cast and creator alike must wait and see if Netflix decides to move ahead with A Man on the Inside Season 2.

Chase Stokes ‘Always’ Keeps His ‘Outer Banks’ Trailer Stocked With These 2 Snacks

Snack time! Actor Chase Stokes, or John B to fans of Outer Banks, is sharing some of his favorite snacks on set. He “always” keeps two in his trailer, one of which he’ll eat “straight out of the bowl.” When he’s not filming, he likes to cook with his country music star girlfriend, Kelsea Ballerini.

The Outer Banks star opened up to EatingWell about what he likes to eat on set. Two snacks he “always” has in his trailer are—drumroll, please—chicken salad and cottage cheese.

“I’m a big chicken salad fan. I will eat it straight out of the bowl when I make it,” Stokes said. “Chicken salad is something I always keep on me.” His preferred chicken salad is a combination of “a little bit of celery, a lot of chicken,” and maybe some “sliced grapes in it to sweeten it up” like his mom does. “That combo and a good amount of pepper is the secret weapon to a good chicken salad,” he added.

As for cottage cheese, Stokes likes to eat it for breakfast. “Cottage cheese with a little bit of honey and some fruit has been something that I always have because it’s just an easy snack,” he said. “I’ll get a tub of cottage cheese and I’ll put it in my trailer or keep it at the house.”

Asked about cooking with Ballerini—the Grammy nominee slid into his DMs in late 2022 before going public with their romance in 2023—Stokes shared they “consistently” cook a “skirt steak with chimichurri” at their temporary home base in Los Angeles, California.

The dish, Stokes went on, holds a special place in their relationship. “I think that was one of the first meals I actually cooked for her,” he said. “Almost two years later, that’s still a meal that we keep in the kitchen pretty consistently.”

Another staple for Stokes and Ballerini is pesto scrambled eggs with ground turkey breast for breakfast with a side of cottage cheese and fruit.

Stokes is returning for one final season of ‘Outer Banks’

After part two of Outer Banks Season 4 began streaming, Netflix confirmed the show’s next season will be its last. That means John B and (almost) all the Pogues have one last adventure before saying goodbye.

“My heart[’]s heavy writing this one…One last ride. Thank you to everybody who has tuned in these past 5 years,” Stokes wrote in an Instagram post on Nov. 5, 2024, following the announcement. “You’ve given us more than we could ever give back to you…It’s always gonna be Pogues 4 Life.”

Meanwhile, the show’s creators—Shannon Burke, Jonas Pate, and Josh Pate—shared in their own Instagram post that they’d always envisioned a five-season run.

“From this beginning, we imagined a mystery that would lead to a five-season journey of adventure, treasure hunting, and friendship,” they said. “We hope to bring our beloved Pogues home in the way we imagined and planned years ago. We hope you’ll join us for one more paddle out to the surf break.”

Legally Blonde 2 was shot in 2002 and 2003. The flick opened at the box office in July 2003. Fans spy Kirk holding the same bag in season 4, which aired between September 2003 and May 2004.

A former Martha Stewart nemesis clapped back to a false death claim made by the lifestyle legend in a scene from her Netflix biopic Martha. She responded, “I’m alive b****” after Stewart claimed she was dead in an interview.

In the Netflix documentary Martha, the lifestyle leader discussed all aspects of her life, including a period between 2004 and 2005 when she was jailed for charges related to insider trading.

Stewart spoke of the incident, and subsequent five-month incarceration in a federal correctional facility. Her statements were supplemented with video and documents regarding the case.

She also appeared to celebrate the death of a New York Post columnist who covered the trial. Stewart said, “The New York Post lady was there, just looking so smug. She had written horrible things during the entire trial.”

The celebrity concluded, “But she’s dead now, thank goodness. And nobody has to put up with the crap she was writing all the time.” She did not mention the reporter by name.

However, Andrea Peyser stepped forward in an editorial for the New York Post 20 years later to identify herself, saying she was very much still around. She clapped back at Stewart’s remarks, saying, “I’m alive, b****!”

She added, “News of my passing came as a shock. Should I be scared about continuing to write that ‘crap’?”

Martha Stewart’s reporter nemesis didn’t hold back her criticism of the lifestyle leader

For The New York Post, Andrea Peyser didn’t hold back in her criticism of Martha Stewart. She remained as steadfast in her beliefs about Stewart as she did 20 years prior.

“Martha — who has compared her plight to that of the late South African freedom fighter-turned-statesman Nelson Mandela — today is playing the innocent victim. She has spent years stewing over her persecution by a sexist justice system that she says was hellbent on taking down a woman who’s rich, or something that rhymes with it. And she remains dangerously preoccupied with little, insignificant me,” Peyser wrote.

She continued, “Now, Martha thinks I’m ‘dead.’ But rather than feeling angry or worried that Martha has offed me, or to seek an emergency order of protection, I am overwhelmingly sad in the face of Martha’s bitterness.”

Peyser concluded, “She’s rich. She’s beautiful, creative, and temperamental. I pity her.”

Martha Stewart was open about the turns her life took throughout the past 83 years. She documented her rise to success and her humble origins as a young girl growing up in Nutley, New Jersey as one of five children.

However, Stewart wasn’t shy about some of the truth bombs she shared in Martha. She married Andy Stewart at the age of 19 and together, they took a five-month honeymoon.

Stewart described going to church the night before Easter while her husband stayed back in their room as she explored Florence’s Duomo. She called the place “romantic” and claimed she met and flirted with a handsome guy whom she later kissed.

After discussing her husband’s reported infidelity, an off-screen producer asked Stewart whether she had ever cheated in her marriage. “I had a very brief affair with a very attractive Irish man,” Stewart said.

“It was nothing. I would never have broken up a marriage for it.”

Martha Stewart Can’t Stand How the ‘Martha’ Netflix Documentary Ends: ‘I Hate It’

Martha Stewart’s not a big fan of Netflix’s Martha documentary. The ending, in particular, is a sore spot for her. Following the documentary’s release on Oct. 30, 2024, Stewart revealed why she “hate[s]” the final scenes. That’s not all. There are plenty of other things she doesn’t like about it, and a select few she does.

She doesn’t like ‘looking like a lonely old lady’ at the end of ‘Martha’

Stewart gave her thoughts on filmmaker R.J. Cutler’s Martha documentary in a phone conversation with The New York Times in what became, per the interviewer, “roughly 30 almost uninterrupted minutes of sharp critique.”

If it were up to Stewart, the shots of her walking through her garden wouldn’t have made the final cut. “Those last scenes with me looking like a lonely old lady walking hunched over in the garden? Boy, I told him to get rid of those. And he refused. I hate those last scenes. Hate them,” she said.

Stewart went on to admonish the director for not giving viewers context. “I had ruptured my Achilles’ tendon. I had to have this hideous operation. And so I was limping a little,” she said. “But again, he doesn’t even mention why—that I can live through that and still work seven days a week.”

The ending is far from the only thing Stewart critiqued. She shared that she’s also not a fan of the classical music heard throughout the documentary. Calling it “lousy,” she told the publication she’d wanted rap music. Maybe even some original music by her friend Snoop Dogg as the film’s score. (Stewart requested his song, “Beautiful,” play during the end credits.)

The camera angles didn’t get Stewart’s seal of approval either. “He [Cutler] had three cameras on me. And he chooses to use the ugliest angle,” she said. “And I told him, ‘Don’t use that angle! That’s not the nicest angle. You had three cameras. Use the other angle.’ He would not change that.”

She also didn’t like that there wasn’t enough about the “modernism” of Martha Stewart magazine, no mention of her “fantastic” grandchildren, and “too much time” about her 2004 trial and subsequent prison sentence.

Martha Stewart enjoyed the documentary’s ‘first half,’ overall message

Although Stewart had a long list of dislikes, she didn’t hate the entire documentary from start to finish. There were parts, admittedly only a few, she enjoyed.

“I love the first half of the documentary. It gets into things that many people don’t know anything about, which is what I like about it,” she said. One scene in particular she liked? Remembering kissing a stranger on her honeymoon after becoming overwhelmed with emotion upon seeing a cathedral in Florence, Italy.

As for what Stewart likes “most” about the documentary, it’s the inspiring message. “So many girls have already told me—young women—that watching it gave them a strength that they didn’t know they had,” she said. “And that’s the thing I like most about the documentary. It really shows a strong woman standing up for herself and living through horror as well as some huge success.”

“That’s what I wanted the documentary to be,” Stewart added. “It shouldn’t be me boasting about inner strength and any of that crap. It should be about showing that you can get through life and still be yourself.”

Netflix’s content library just got a little bit merrier. Ten Hallmark Channel Christmas movies are now available to stream on the service, including multiple titles featuring the network’s holiday queen, Lacey Chabert.

When it comes to the holiday movie game, Hallmark is the undisputed champ, regularly pumping out dozens of new tinsel-draped flicks every year. In 2024 alone, it will release close to 50 new movies, plus several new series, across Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Mystery, and its streaming service, Hallmark+.

Unfortunately for Christmas-loving cord-cutters, watching Hallmark’s new movies is difficult if you don’t have a cable package or a live TV streaming service (Like Frndly TV or YouTubeTV) that includes the channel. Peacock subscribers can watch new movies live and on-demand for three days after they air, while older movies and some exclusives are on Hallmark+. But if Netflix is your primary streaming service, you were out of luck – until now.

‘The Diplomat’ Creator on Why Allison Janney’s Grace Character Isn’t a Season 2 Villain

That major twist in The Diplomat Season 2 finale doesn’t mean Grace Penn is a “bad guy.” At least not according to the TV show’s creator. The U.S. vice president, played by guest star Allison Janney, would have viewers thinking they too “would have made the same decision in that situation.”

Grace’s role in the attack on ‘The Diplomat’

Kate Wyler (Keri Russell), the U.S. ambassador to the U.K., finally got answers in The Diplomat Season 2. After the attack on a British ship in the series premiere that suddenly had her across the pond in a new job, she learned that Grace had been involved. Not just involved, but—gasp—she ordered the hit.

Grace explained herself in the finale. Her reasoning? Dominoes would’ve fallen leading to something even bigger. If the British people hadn’t come together in the wake of the national tragedy, and Scotland would’ve gone through with their bid for independence, the U.K. base housing nuclear submarines keeping Russia from nuking the United States would’ve closed.

In turn, even more people would’ve been in danger. So Grace quietly went about preventing nuclear war, telling only a select few she turned to for help.

The news, which Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell) delivered to President Rayburn (Michael McKean), was so upsetting to the country’s commander in chief that Rayburn died. That means, in yet another twist, Grace became president in the episode’s final moments.

Grace is doing her ‘best’ and not a ‘bad guy,’ according to ‘The Diplomat’ creator

The show’s creator, Debora Cahn, explained to Variety that Grace’s involvement in the attack doesn’t make her an evil villain. Rather, she’s someone who is “doing their best,” an angle Cahn likes to explore.

“I think that there are objectively bad people out there, and I’m prepared to [call them out]. But I don’t want to write about them,” Cahn said. “I feel like it’s been done. Just like I don’t want to write about infidelity—that’s been done! We’ve seen the movie, we’ve watched the TV show—the stories about evil leaders and corrupt, venal heads of state, all of that exists. To me, it feels a little bit like a cop-out.”

Instead, she likes to put “good” people in complex situations without a clear hero and villain. “What if they’re all good,” Cahn said. “And they all have good values and they’re all doing their best for their country, and we’re still in the motherf***ing s**tshow that we’re in now? What if this is what you get when the good people are doing their best work?”

“I believe that actually is what happens,” she continued. “I don’t think it happens because the bad people got the big jobs—I just think it’s really hard to get it right.”

“So the hope with the Allison Janney story was, yes, you go into it, and you believe that she’s the bad guy,” Cahn added. “And then hopefully you learn that you would have made the same decision in that situation.”

‘The Diplomat’ Season 2 ending gave Allison Janney ‘chills’

The finale twist wasn’t just a jaw-dropping moment for fans of The Diplomat. It was also a big moment for the cast including Janney. Speaking to Vanity Fair ahead of season 2’s premiere, The West Wing alum recalled how she reacted to the big reveal about Grace’s involvement.

“I got chills and I threw the script across the room and I was like, ‘What the f**k?’” she said. “It was the best moment I’ve ever had reading a script.” As for whether or not Janney will reprise her role in The Diplomat Season 3 (production is already underway), it’s expected but not officially confirmed.

Upcoming episodes will be “so good” according to Russell. “I’ve already read everything of season 3,” The Diplomat star told Rolling Stone. “It’s so good in the way I want things to be good, and I just can’t believe that it’s still getting better.”

‘Love Is Blind’ Not Doing More ‘After the Altar’ Specials, Creator Says

Love Is Blind is moving on. The seventh season of the hit Netflix reality series wrapped up on Oct. 30 with a reunion special that brought together key D.C. cast members to share updates on their lives. But fans hoping to see more of Tyler and Ashley or Taylor and Garrett will be disappointed. There are no plans to film an After the Altar special for season 7, Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen recently confirmed.

Love Is Blind, which premiered in 2020, follows groups of singles as they go on blind dates (literally) in the show’s signature pods. Couples who form a pod connection get engaged, sight unseen. They then live together for several weeks before heading to the altar to either say “I do” or break things off on their wedding day (assuming they make it that far).

But what happens to Love Is Blind couples after the cameras go away? The show’s first four seasons offered insight into post-show relationships thanks to the After the Altar specials. The three-episode mini-seasons dropped months after the reunion episode and checked in with various cast members, including some who didn’t get married, to see how they were faring.

The last After the Altar special aired in September 2023. It followed people from Love Is Blind Season 4. Since then, three more seasons of the show have aired, but there have been no After the Altar episodes for those seasons. That’s a deliberate choice, Coelen said in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

”No. Not interested in doing that,” he said when asked if there would be more After the Altar specials.

Coelen said that while After the Altar sounds intriguing on paper, it’s not actually that interesting to make or watch.

“It sounds fun to catch up, and that’s one of the reasons with the reunion now — it’s fun to catch up and see where some of your favorites have been,” he explained. “But when you get into an After the Altar structure, it becomes more like a docuseries. And docuseries, as many people know, are really driven by drama.”

The result? A show that feels like it’s there just for the sake of being there, Coelen said.

“And to go into an After the Altar with [Love Is Blind Season 4 couples] Brett and Tiffany or Zach and Bliss or whoever, where’s the drama going to be? It doesn’t feel real; it feels like at that point you’re just making something that’s kind of for the sake of making it” he said “It’s not an exciting idea for a show. It doesn’t really feel fulfilling to me as a producer. And I think, ultimately, even though people liked it to some extent, I just don’t think it’s that great.”

The Diplomat Season 2 has barely premiered—it hit Netflix on Halloween—and already a lot has been revealed about the show’s future. What’s ahead for Kate after another rollercoaster of a season? Yet another wild ride for her and fans of the show.

“Season 3 flips the chessboard,” Debora Cahn, The Diplomat’s creator, showrunner, and executive producer told Netflix’s Tudum ahead of the season 2 premiere. She didn’t give much away but Cahn did say that “in Season 3, Kate lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want.”

What does Kate want? Answers to what happened after the deadly explosion in the series premiere? Or how about the explosion in the season 1 finale? Justice for all of it? Fans have to wait and see what happens both personally and professionally for the U.S. ambassador.

Will Kate’s relationship with her husband, Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell), get any less complicated? Will things with the British Foreign Secretary Austin Dennison (David Gyasi) go to the next level? And what about the United States Vice President Grace Penn, played by Oscar winner Allison Janney? Is she a friend or foe?

Production on new episodes is already underway

The people behind The Diplomat are already working on the next season. Yes, that’s right season 3 is already in production.

This time around Kate’s adventures will take her beyond London, England. In season 3 she’s crossing the pond—ahem, the Atlantic Ocean—and going to New York. That is, at least for some of the time as production is split between the two locations.

It’s a bonus for Russell, who initially thought she’d have to pass on The Diplomat because it’s set in London, and she and her family live in Brooklyn, New York. (Russell has two children with her partner and fellow actor Matthew Rhys and also shares a child with her ex-husband.)

‘The Diplomat’ Season 3 will have 8 episodes

No more six-episode seasons for The Diplomat. After a slightly shorter second season, The Diplomat Season 3 is set to have eight episodes just like season 1.

As for why season 2 is shorter, showrunner Debora Cahn explained in an interview ahead of the premiere that she felt there wasn’t “enough time” to make the “full” episode count.

“It felt like there wasn’t enough time to turn around eight of them. It was a lot to do in what appeared to be a short period of time,” she said. “Had we known it was going to be a year and a half before we got back on the air,” she added, “it would’ve been different.”

Amber Desiree “AD” Smith from Love Is Blind Season 6 endured one of the most devastating breakups in the show’s history when her fiancé Clay Gravensande dumped her at the altar on their wedding day. But she’s since moved on. During the Love Is Blind Season 7 reunion, AD confirmed she has a new man in her life. And while she didn’t reveal his identity, the rumor is that he’s another Love Is Blind alum.

AD joined the current and former Love Is Blind cast members at the season 7 reunion, which dropped on Netflix on Oct. 30. She revealed that she is “happy, thriving, living her absolute best life” since the show ended and getting “off that roller coaster.”

When it comes to new romance, AD played it coy, though she did reveal she was in a relationship. “I’m just having a good time,” she said with a laugh. “Not by myself, with a someone. A very special someone. But we’re keeping it private … I’m very happy.”

Ollie in ‘Love Is Blind: UK’ | Netflix

AD is keeping her new man’s identity under wraps. But there have been reports that she’s dating Ollie Sutherland from the first season of Love Is Blind: UK.

The same day the season 7 reunion aired, AD posted a slideshow of photos on Instagram from her recent trip to London. While she didn’t mention Ollie, some of her followers interpreted that as a clue the two were together.

Earlier in October, Ollie and AD were also spotted enjoying a cozy dinner together in Mexico. In a video shared on TikTok, the two seem to be laughing together at a restaurant. Commenters were quick to speculate about what brought the the pair together, with several wondering if they were part of the cast for an upcoming season of Netflix’s Perfect Match.

“They go on Perfect Match and end up together, I’m calling it!” one wrote.

“I heard Perfect Match started filming last week,” another claimed.

Netflix has not announced future seasons of Perfect Match, its dating show featuring singles from other reality series, including Love Is Blind, Too Hot to Handle, The Ultimatum, and The Circle.

During his stint on Love Is Blind: UK, Ollie got engaged to Demi Brown in the pods, but they split up at the altar. After the show, Ollie revealed he was involved with a different cast member, Sharlotte Ritchie.
