Prince Harry and Meghan’s Montecito Neighbor Reveals Why the Duchess Isn’t Popular in the Community

A documentary Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t want you to see has been released and includes some frank and harsh remarks from people who know the pair.

The documentary titled Harry: The Lost Prince was directed by veteran royal reporter Ulrike Grunewald. The film examines the Duke of Sussex’s journey within the royal family, his departure, and his current life in California with his wife. But unlike another documentary about the couple that had everyone talking, Meghan and Harry did not work with Grunewald on the project and therefore had no editorial input in the program.

One of the Sussexes’ neighbors appeared in the documentary and shared details about Meghan and why she is so unpopular in the Montecito community. Here’s more on that and what others in the area have said about living near the prince and former Suits star.

Neighbors say Meghan is unpopular and ‘ignored’

Express noted that in the documentary Richard Mineards, who is not only one of Meghan and Harry’s neighbors but also a writer for the Montecito Journal, revealed that even though the duchess speaks about the importance of community she is not at all involved in the Montecito community she’s lived in for the last four years.

“I personally don’t think that Meghan is an asset to our community,” Mineards said. “She doesn’t really go out or get involved with the community. Harry has to a certain extent, because he’s quite jolly … but Meghan doesn’t seem to get seen anywhere … And you don’t see him either.”

Mary Sheldon, another longtime resident of Montecito, owns a bookstore in town and agreed that no one sees much of the ex-working royals so they’re “ignored” by other locals.

“I think they’re basically ignored, and if people come across them that’s fine, but I don’t think the locals seek them out in any way,” Sheldon opined. “I have seen black SUVs on my road. Other than that, no impact at all.”

She was also asked if Prince Harry’s memoir Spare sold a lot of copies at her bookstore. Sheldon shared that it did not do well at her store, only selling about 20 copies since it was released in January 2023.

Many of the wealthy Montecito residents want nothing to do with the Sussexes

Prince Harry and Meghan are friends with one of the wealthiest residents in Montecito. But word is, Oprah Winfrey is the only billionaire in the neighborhood who has anything to do with them.

British socialite and author of the book Meghan and Harry: The Real Story, Lady Colin Campbell, has heard stories from some famous Montecito residents themselves that they don’t even try to bother with the Sussexes and steer clear of them.

On her YouTube channel, Lady C explained that she attended a function with people who live in the same area as the duke and duchess and their names came up.

“I was at something in London with some very very famous stars who have a place in Montecito. And of course, Meghan and Harry’s names came up,” Lady C said. “They told me what I have been told by other friends of mine, who know the Montecito scene or have places in Montecito. The billionaires don’t want to touch them, nobody wants to touch them.”

The British royal family has a vast collection of artwork, tapestries, ceramics, textiles, weapons, armor, and jewelry. Many of the objects from the royal collection are on loan to museums around the world and recently axe-wielding thieves made off with some heirlooms that belonged to King Charles‘ great-grandfather, King George V, and great-grandmother, Queen Mary.

Here’s more on the crime, when it was committed, and where the monarch was while the items were being taken during a violent heist in broad daylight.

The axe-wielding assailants stole heirlooms while the museum was open

Newsweek reported that the burglary happened at the Musée Cognacq-Jay (Cognacq-Jay Museum) in Paris on Nov. 20. It occurred while King Charles was in London meeting with the Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and her husband, Tony Viscardi.

The brazen robbery did not take place after hours or under the cover of darkness, the thieves actually committed the crime while the museum was filled with visitors and guards were present. The burglars stormed past those inside and used axes to smash open the glass display cases.

According to French media, authorities addressed the “violent robbery” in a statement and said: “The theft of seven works of art, including snuffboxes of great historical and heritage value on loan from the Louvre, the Royal Collection Trust, and The Rosalinde & Arthur Gilbert Collection on loan to the Victoria and Albert Museum, as part of the Luxe de poche exhibition.

“Investigations linked to the inquiry and the assessment of this immense loss are underway. Paris Musées and the City of Paris strongly condemn this criminal act and reaffirm their support for the staff present, who demonstrated great professionalism and an exemplary attitude in the face of this situation.”

How much the stolen pieces are valued at

Two of the items stolen were pieces on loan from The Royal Collection Trust.

One was a snuffbox which was a gift for King Charles’ great-grandfather, George V, on his 55th birthday in 1920. It is described as a “Cartouche-shaped, gold and lapis lazuli snuff box with tapering sides and oval agate base.”

The second stolen snuff box was purchased by Queen Mary in 1932. The Royal Collection Trust has described that as a”Green jasper snuff-box, mounted with gold borders, finely chased with flowers and foliage in vari-colored gold. This spectacular bloodstone box is encrusted with nearly three thousand diamonds backed with delicately colored foils in shades of pink and yellow … The snuff box is unique among the surviving Frederick the Great boxes for both its elaborately chased vari-colored gold mounts and its particularly lavish use of diamonds.”

The stolen boxes are valued at around $1 million. The museum in the French capital will remain closed until Dec. 10 as the investigation into the robbery continues.

It’s no secret that Meghan Markle has experienced a few setbacks this year. After a disastrous 2023 in which Spotify canceled the duchess’s podcast ending their deal and a company executive labeled her and Prince Harry “f****** grifters,” the two were mocked on TV shows like South Park and Family Guy, and ultimately ended up on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Biggest Losers” of the year list.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then vowed that 2024 would be their “redemption year.” Harry has done some globetrotting to promote the Invictus Games and has a documentary about the sport of Polo debuting on Netflix soon. But things have been a lot quieter for Meghan.

Fans have been left waiting since March for her to release products from her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, so far though only a few of her friends and influencers received some jars of jam and dog biscuits.

The former Suits star has also had her Netflix cooking and gardening show delayed, and has been trying to combat reports from people who used to work for her that she is a “demon boss” and acts like “a dictator in high heels.” But sources close to Meghan are saying she’s now ready to get back in the game and will have a big comeback “with a bang” in 2025.

So what’s going on with all the projects Meghan has been working on over the past year?

A few kinks regarding its trademark still have to be worked out before her lifestyle brand can launch. And that launch is set to coincide with the duchess’s cooking show, which wrapped up filming in the summer.

Sources close to Harry’s wife insist that Meghan is poised for her big comeback as she’s “been keeping her cards close to her chest.”

They told Page Six: “As far as Meghan being quiet, she’s been in the background working on her entrepreneurial efforts. Both the Netflix project and her brand will come out within the same timeline in the New Year. It’s going to be a good year for Meghan specifically, she’s spent the majority of the year doing work behind the scenes to launch a project in the first few months of 2025.”

But is it too late for Meghan to have a major Hollywood career comeback?

According to Tom Sykes, European editor for The Daily Beast, Tinseltown has turned its back on the duchess after “rumors that some power players in Hollywood who were formerly enamored of the couple will no longer take Meghan’s calls personally.”

Entertainment correspondent and editor Paula Froelich backed that up telling The Times: “This is what happens when you haven’t actually made money — you fall [down] the totem pole of importance. People in LA roll their eyes at them [Harry and Meghan].”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have revealed a lot they didn’t like about how things are done in the royal family, but the way they celebrate Christmas isn’t one of them. In fact, Meghan described her first celebration at Sandringham in 2017 as “amazing” and “wonderful.”

In the Sussexes’ Netflix docuseries, the duchess recalled: “I remember so vividly, the first Christmas at Sandringham. Calling my mum and she’s like ‘How’s it going’ and I was like ‘Oh my gosh, it’s amazing.'”

The former Suits star continued: “It’s just like a big family like I always wanted. And there was just this constant movement and energy and fun. At dinner, I was sat next to H’s grandfather [Prince Philip] and I just thought it was so wonderful.”

The 1 royal tradition Prince Harry has kept even after moving to the U.S.

Prince Harry shared in his memoir Spare which holiday tradition he and Meghan still celebrate each year.

The Duke of Sussex explained that they have continued to follow the tradition of opening gifts on Christmas Eve, which is in line with the king’s German ancestry.

Describing how they celebrated the holiday after moving abroad, Harry wrote: “It was Christmas Eve. We FaceTimed with several friends, including a few in Britain. We watched Archie running around the tree. And we opened presents. Keeping to the Windsor family tradition.”

Opening gifts the night before Christmas goes back to the family’s German side and was set during Queen Victoria’s reign from 1837 to 1901. She and Prince Albert were insistent on doing so as a nod to their German heritage. The custom was upheld for centuries as the late Queen Elizabeth II didn’t mind it since it kept the focus of Christmas Day on its spiritual meaning, rather than presents.

Harry’s in-law wants to do away with the tradition

Someone who isn’t a fan of the gift-giving on Christmas Eve is Harry’s sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton), as she prefers to open presents on Christmas Day.

A source close to the princess said: “Kate has always found the presents on Christmas Eve thing weird. It is definitely going to be got rid of when [she and Prince William] are officially running things.

“I imagine it will continue this year at Sandringham in some shape or form but everything is going to be much more relaxed and have a middle-class flavour at Anmer Hall. You can bet your bottom dollar [the Waleses] will be doing proper presents for each other and the kids there on Christmas Day.”

As the Bad Boy Records founder’s former girlfriend, plenty of questions have swirled about what Yung Miami, whose real name is Caresha Brownlee, knew and what part she played in the crimes Diddy is accused of. But now the “Rap Freaks” artist is being linked to another man after she posted about their night out before deleting it.

After the allegations against Diddy and what happened at his infamous freak-off parties came to light, Yung Miami said she was only celebrating him when everyone else was.

“I met him when he was in another era. I met Diddy when the world was celebrating him and giving him his flowers,” she explained on her podcast Caresha Please.

Well now, she’s been spotted celebrating someone else.

Yung Miami was seen at the same restaurant as Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs for his 31st birthday. She even shared a snap of the party on Instagram before deleting it. Paparazzi then caught her leaving the venue not long after Diggs’ exit as they tried to keep a low profile.

Yung Miami has been named in some lawsuits against Diddy

More than 120 accusers have filed lawsuits against Diddy and Yung Miami has been named in some of those.

In September, a Jane Doe alleged that Diddy got her pregnant after drugging and assaulting her and claims the City Girls member “harassed” and called her repeatedly to make sure she was going to have an abortion. Yung Miami was also mentioned and linked to drug crimes in Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ suit filed in March 2024.

Diddy meanwhile is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied all the allegations and his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, told reporters that his client is looking forward to his day in court, saying: “He’s been looking forward to clearing his name, and he’s going to clear his name.”

His court date has been set for May 5, 2025.

Prince William and Kate’s Former Aide Says Meghan Is Secretly Working Hard to Heal Tensions With Them

It’s no secret that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been feuding with some members of the duke’s family ever since moving across the pond and publicly airing out the royals’ dirty laundry.

Things have gotten so bad between Harry and his brother, Prince William, that the two don’t even speak anymore. But now there may be hope that the Sussexes are finally ready to stop the royal bashing and could instead be working to heal the rift.

Someone who used to work for the royals is pointing to a sign that shows Meghan has been trying to “resolve” tensions with her in-laws.

Former royal aide believes that Meghan has been working to heal tensions

Grant Harrold was King Charles’ butler from 2004 to 2011. During his time working for the monarch Harrold’s duties included that of housekeeper, house manager, driver, and valet. He also looked after Prince William and his then-girlfriend, Kate, whenever they stayed at Highgrove House.

According to Harrold, a new documentary titled Harry: The Lost Prince has Meghan pretty worried over what information will be revealed and that shows that behind closed doors she’s eagerly pushing for tensions to ease.

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, the former royal butler said: “There have been reports that Meghan is feeling concerned about what will come out in the documentary, The Lost Prince, and that leads me to believe that behind closed doors, her relationship with the royals is improving and tensions are being resolved. Therefore, she wouldn’t want any new revelations to come out that could sour things once again.”

If Harrold is correct about the former Suits star working to ease tensions, then Meghan isn’t the only one trying to mend fences as many believe what Kate wrote in her Christmas message was her way of extending an olive branch to her estranged brother-in-law.

On Dec 1, 2024, the Princess of Wales shared a message on social media for those attending her Christmas Carol concert this year. She wrote that the holidays are “a time for celebration and joy” and an “opportunity to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all. It is when we stop and take ourselves away from the pressures of daily life, that we find the space to live our lives with an open heart, with love, kindness, and forgiveness – so much of what the Christmas spirit is all about.”

The fact that she mentioned “forgiveness” has many convinced she was sending a peace offering to Prince Harry, who she was once very close with.

Bo Nix played his college ball at Auburn University and the University of Oregon before being selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. In August, he was named the starting quarterback and became the first Broncos rookie to start a season since John Elway did in 1983.

After a slow start early, Nix began to show flashes of the superstar he was in college. Now, he’s living what his wife calls this “God-sized dream” he used to always tell her about.

Bo Nix met Izzy Smoke (yes that is her real moniker, not a nickname) in college when they both attended Auburn.

They began dating in 2020 and the next year, Smoke posted about their anniversary on Instagram writing: “This guy is a true blessing lemme tell ya!!!! One year of knowing him and every day gets sweeter.”

A month later, they got engaged with Nix sharing: “I knew from the first moment I laid eyes on you that you were special. I cannot wait to be your husband. Here’s to forever with you, Izzy Smoke!”

The following year was a big one for the couple, not only did Smoke graduate from Auburn and move across the country with Nix when he transferred to Oregon to play for the Ducks, but they also got married.

Smoke was born on Oct. 18, 1998, to parents Dawn and Sammy in Birmingham, Alabama. She has three siblings.

Smoke studied gymnastics for 12 years and played soccer and basketball in high school. At Auburn, she made the cheerleading squad despite not having any experience in that sport. As a Tigers cheerleader, she was on the sidelines rooting for her man during every game. Some of her other fond memories as part of the cheer squad are the Auburn tradition of Rolling Toomer’s Corner and hearing her favorite band song “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor.

Smoke earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the university and a minor in Psychology and Sports Coaching. She now works as a fitness coach at F45 Training.

Smoke remembers that when she met Nix he told her about his “God-sized” dream to play in the National Football League and seeing him put in years of hard work and sacrifice, she couldn’t be happier that he is fulfilling that dream today.

In a profile piece with Mestiza New York, Smoke was asked to name something she wants people to know about her husband when he’s not on the field.

“One thing that comes to mind is that Bo and I are equally competitive and ambitious!” Smoke replied. “We both grew up playing multiple sports and were taught to never back down from a challenge. We push each other towards our goals and to be better versions of ourselves daily. Game nights at our house are very loud and a whole lot of fun!”

‘Home Alone’ Star Says They Only Watched the Movie Once and ‘Burst Into Tears’

It’s that time of year again when millions of people watch classic Christmas movies as part of their holiday traditions. One of those popular movies that many of us can’t get enough of is Home Alone.

The film, which was released in 1990, turned Macaulay Culkin into a household name and started the careers of some other actors as well. While many fans have seen Home Alone countless times, one actor in the film has only seen it once.

Why the actor who starred in the film became ‘sick’ and only watched ‘Home Alone’ one time

Kristin Minter, who played Heather McCallister and was responsible for the headcount in a scene before the family left for the airport, doesn’t tune in to see the movie whenever it’s on like so many people do around the holidays.

She spoke to the Daily Mail about a bad experience she had when she tried to watch Home Alone with some castmates.

Minter revealed that the first time she attempted to watch the Christmas blockbuster she felt “quite sick” and “burst into tears.” Minter then elaborated more and explained that she didn’t know how she would feel seeing herself on screen when she invited others to her room to watch television one evening after a day of filming.

“We watched movies in my room and ate pizza,” she recalled. “I had a recurring part on the TV show The Outsiders, which aired while we were filming, and I remember I invited everyone to my room. I had never seen myself on TV or anything yet, and all of a sudden, I started getting really sick and I had to cancel.

“I’ve actually only seen Home Alone — and I wouldn’t even say I saw it all the way through — once, at a screening. I remember I went to go and see Goodfellas, which came out right before I went to the screening of Home Alone.”

In addition to Home Alone and The Outsiders, Minter also had roles in the films Cool as Ice, Dirt, 7th Secret, and on the TV show ER as Miranda “Randi” Fronczak.

These days Minter has done some modeling. She shared with fans on social media that she signed with the agency Elite Models Management and recently walked in designer Dennis Basso’s show during New York Fashion Week.

The actor donned a white and gold coat that was tied at the waist. She paired it with matching white pants and accessorized with dangling white earrings and a white clutch. Minter took to Instagram and shared a few shots as she walked down the runway.

Nearly two decades ago, millions of people around the world watched Princess Diana‘s raw, tell-all Panorama interview.

Diana’s sit-down with journalist Martin Bashir took place inside Kensington Palace in 1995, one year after she and then-Prince Charles separated. The princess was candid about her struggles as a member of the royal family, her marital troubles with her husband, and the affairs that she engaged in during her marriage.

The princess’s decision to speak so openly about her life stunned fans, members of the royal household, and the man she admitted to having a relationship with while she was married to the future king. Here’s what that man, James Hewitt, has to say today about that and being labeled as “the world’s most-hated man.”

During her bombshell interview, which was watched by more than 20 million people in the U.K. and 200 million worldwide, Diana talked about her husband’s extramarital affair with then-Camilla Parker Bowles when she uttered the line: “Well, there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.”

The princess also answered questions about her affair with Hewitt, a former Cavalry officer. They carried on their relationship from 1986 to 1991 and Diana confessed that she “was in love” with him “but was very let down.”

Years after that interview, an inquiry found that Bashir used “deceitful means” to gain access to Diana including feeding the princess false information about her inner circle in order to get her to speak freely about everything.

Hewitt recently bashed Bashir for “taking advantage” of the princess, telling The Sun: “I think the chap needs to seriously search his conscience. To do it by deception is unforgivable and there is very little road back from that. I don’t know him personally, but I think any underhandedness — and particularly if it’s taking advantage of someone’s weakness and being a toad — is wrong. It did affect me and it had a huge effect.

“I hope people realize that the whole of the program should be seen for what it was — and that was to deceive somebody into saying things and doing things that they may not necessarily have been willing to say had all the facts been known. In 2021, Prince William posted a statement on social media after he learned about the findings of the inquiry into his mother’s Panorama interview.

William did not mince words describing Bashir as “rogue.” He also hit out at the BBC news organization saying the outlet was “invasive” in its reporting and the way in which the interview with his late mother was obtained.

The prince then said the BBC’s “failures contributed significantly to [Princess Diana’s] fear, paranoia, and isolation that [he] remember[s] from those final years with her.”

When we think of affectionate couples, Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) aren’t the first people who come to mind. In fact, some would argue that they’re not very affectionate at all compared to some other members of the family like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

But the Waleses definitely have their moments when they can get a little handsy, like when Kate playfully slapped her husband‘s backside on the red carpet at the BAFTAs. Well now, a video that has gone viral shows William being quite frisky with the princess when he forgets others are watching.

The 31-second video posted on TikTok contains footage of the pair at several different public events where William can’t seem to keep his eyes and hands off the princess.

Some of the text playing over the clips reads: “What a squeeze,” “Stroking the rabbit and her thigh,” “Don’t forget you’re in public sir,” and “Acting like no one else is seeing him.”

It’s been viewed over 2 million times with more than 115,000 likes and 190 comments. Many commenters gushed over the two writing: “That is how you’re supposed to love and adore your spouse,” and “They’re so in love and beautiful.”

A third person posted: “This video. BRILLIANT! Obsessed of finding their little love language moments. Aaaarrrggggghhh!! Love it!”

Another chimed in, “Absolutely love these two” while a fifth added, “Very cheeky of him.”

“Princess treatment right there,” a sixth person wrote.

And another summed it up by saying, “He loves her so much you can see it” with a heart emoji.

William’s birth sign is one the most ‘affectionate’ of all

One user pointed out that “Cancers are so affectionate.” That statement is true as the prince’s birth sign is among the most affectionate of all the zodiacs.

William was born on June 21, making him a Cancer, which is widely ranked as one the most affectionate of all the zodiac signs. Those born under the cardinal water sign are thought to be “very in tune with the people they love, and they make it their business to know when they can show people some love when it’s needed most.” Being so intuitive “helps them know exactly when their partner needs emotional or physical care. To them, being affectionate is a better way to prove their feelings using more than words.”
