Bravo hit it big with its The Real Housewives franchise. It is the network’s most successful franchise, and the popularity of the shows doesn’t appear to be faltering. Fans remain just as invested in the lives of their favorite cast members today as they were when they first appeared on screen. Still, not all The Real Housewives series are created equally. Do you know which installment started it all?

Which installment of ‘The Real Housewives’ started it all?

There have been eleven different The Real Housewives series so far, and fans think more will eventually be coming. But do you know which one is the oldest? The show’s history began in 2006 with The Real Housewives of Orange County. The series premiered in March 2006 and featured Kimberly Bryant, Jo De La Rosa, Vicki Gunvalson, Jeana Keough, and Lauri Peterson.

Now heading into its 18th season, none of the original housewives remain as original cast members. Bryant gave up her part in the show after season 1. De La Rosa only appeared as a main cast member through season 2, and Peterson left after season 4. Keough left after season 5 but has cycled in and out as a friend and a guest ever since. Gunvalson was the longest-lasting original cast member. She appeared on the series from season 1 until season 13. She is expected to appear as a guest in the upcoming season.

The popularity of The Real Housewives of Orange County eventually led to the development of more installments. Following its success, Bravo developed The Real Housewives of New York City. The series premiered in 2007. Two new installments, The Real Housewives of New Jersey and The Real Housewives of Atlanta, premiered in 2008. The following year, the network premiered The Real Housewives of D.C., but the installment never gained traction. It was canceled after one season. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was the next installment to air on Bravo. It premiered in 2010. Since then, several more installments have been developed with varying degrees of success.

Are there new installments in the works?

The Real Housewives of Dubai, set to premiere its second season on June 2, is the youngest installment in the franchise. Season 1 premiered in June 2022. The finale aired in September 2022. Season 2 adds one new cast member, Taleen Marie, and the loss of one member of the season 1 cast. Nina Ali stepped away from the series after appearing in the inaugural season.

While fans would love to see more installments of the beloved Real Housewives franchise, it does not appear that any new cities are being developed now. At one time, fans believed Bravo might be working on installments for Las Vegas, Scottsdale, and New Orleans. According to People, Andy Cohen put the rumors to rest when he insisted that the Bravo team was “good” at the moment.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino might’ve rubbed in that Shannon Beador had a poor relationship with John Janssen’s kids.

Bellino posted about her 47th birthday bash to Instagram on Monday, Jan. 22, 2024. She spent time at the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, California. “Living a life forever young,” she captioned the post. “Thank you to all who made it amazingly special, especially my kiddos. Feeling loved, grateful, and blessed. Love you all!!!”

In addition to the post, she added more photos with captions on her Instagram Stories. “This man makes me know we can take this world on together,” she captioned a post that showed her and Janssen kissing, according to Page Six. “Haters … go away! You ain’t touching this PYT.”

Finally, Bellino added a photo of her and Janssen posing with her three kids with the caption, “The absolute fav part of my bday celebration (just missing J’s kiddos).” In a previous marriage, Bellino had James, 17, and twins Mackenna and Miles, 16.

Janssen has two kids, and Beador notoriously didn’t get along with them. Some fans think Bellino might’ve made a stab at Beador with her Instagram Stories.

Shannon Beador admitted she didn’t have a ‘positive relationship’ with John Janssen’s daughter

Before Alexis Bellino and John Janssen dated, The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador was in a relationship with Janssen. Beador got candid about her relationship with Janssen’s kids, which wasn’t good. In July 2023, Beador reportedly entered a screaming match with Janssen’s daughter.

A source told Page Six that Beador appeared “wasted” and “had to be held back and removed by security” following the upset. An “argument” allegedly occurred between multiple people, and “everyone was screaming at each other.” The group was then asked to leave, but the bar was also reportedly closing for the evening.

“Yes, there was an argument, but it was at the end of the night, the lights were up, and everyone was being asked to leave,” Janssen told Page Six regarding the situation.

Beador later opened up about the argument. “Unfortunately, I don’t have a positive relationship with John’s daughter as happens often in blended families,” she said on Watch What Happens Live, according to Page Six. “We had an argument. There was an argument.”

Beador denies any claim that security removed her. “The lights were up [and] they were saying, ‘Everybody wrap it up,’” she said. “I wasn’t kicked out, but I asked security to help me with my Uber.”

Shannon Beador said her relationship with John Janssen ended after ‘a lot of bickering’

So, what led to Shannon Beador and John Janssen’s breakup? The Real Housewives of Orange County star told Page Six that they bickered often in their relationship.

“It was just a lot of bickering,” Beador said. “There was no major [moment like], ‘Oh my God, you’ve got to walk away!’ It was just the bickering, bickering, bickering. And that’s not a way for anybody to live. We couldn’t get past it.”

Beador said in the past that she felt “hurt” by Janssen’s relationship with Bellino. “I’ve been hurt a lot in the last couple of weeks because, No. 1, John said that he didn’t want to be in the public eye, and he’s thrust himself more into the public eye at this point,” Beador told E! News in December 2023. “So, I’m quite confused about that.”

‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’ Season 4 reunion begins Jan. 9

The drama kicks off on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. That’s when the first installment of the three-part RHOSLC reunion airs on Bravo. An uncensored, extended version of the episode will stream the next day on Peacock. Part II and Part III of the reunion will air at the same time on Jan. 16 and Jan. 23.

Bravo releases ‘RHOSLC’ teaser, reveals seating chart

After the shocking season 4 reunion, Bravo dropped a reunion teaser. As you might expect, things are tense as Andy Cohen quizzes the women – who haven’t been together as a group since the Bermuda trip — on everything that went down this season. That includes confronting Monica about the accusations that she’s behind the Reality Von Tease troll account. Monica seems unapologetic, channeling Regina George as she calmly holds up her Burn Book.

Andy also wants Heather to spill about the black eye she received back in season 3. She’s been cagey about exactly how the injury happened, but in the finale, Monica revealed that Jen Shah was responsible. Meredith Marks also shows off her impression of fellow cast member Whitney Rose.

“Is that how I sound?” Whitney wonders.

As for the RHOSLC reunion seating chart, first-year cast member Monica has snagged the coveted spot to Andy’s right, while Heather is on his left. Next to Monica are Meredith, followed by Whitney. Lisa Barlow sits next to Heather, followed by Angie Katsanevas and friend Mary Cosby.

Reunion Part II: “In Part II of the reunion, Monica breaks down while reflecting on her relationship with her mother. The rift between Angie and Monica grows as they disagree about the unseen events from Greek Easter. The group is joined by Mary, who comes to Monica’s defense and sheds light on where she currently stands with the rest of the women.”

Reunion Part III: “Tensions reach a boiling point in the conclusion of an intense reunion. Heather’s bombshell admission about her black eye forces Andy and the group to question her timing and past loyalty. Monica is in the hot seat once again as she defends her motivation for participating in a social media account.”

Dita Von Teese does not want to be involved in the latest Real Housewives drama. The model and burlesque star is making it clear that she has no association with the infamous Reality Von Tease Instagram account, which is dedicated to slamming former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member Jen Shah.

The Reality Von Teese account doesn’t have a ton of followers. But it’s a big deal in the RHOSLC world. The troll account not only mocked Shah, who is currently serving time in prison for fraud, but also cast a critical eye on other cast members from the Bravo reality show. However, the true scandal had to do with who was running the account.

In the RHOSLC Season 4 finale, newbie cast member Monica Garcia was revealed to be one of the people behind the posts. The news stunned the other ladies on the show, who were hurt – and angry – over her betrayal.

The jaw-dropping reveal also brought the account to the attention of Von Teese herself. Reality Von Tease is a play on her stage name. The account also used a photo of Von Teese in its profile. She quickly called on people to report the account.

“Please report this page @realityvontease for using my photo for their profile,” Von Teese urged her followers on her Instagram Story. “Apparently it’s being used right now on @BravoTV as well.”

“No, I do not watch this show and this account is just using my photo,” she added in a follow-up post. “Please report.”

Von Teese, who has been dubbed the “Queen of Burlesque,” has posed for Playboy, appeared in music videos and episodes of America’s Next Top Model and RuPaul’s Drag Race, and performed around the world. From 2005 to 2007, she was married to Marilyn Manson.

The Reality Von Tease reveal caused major drama in the ‘RHOSLC’ Season 4 finale

In addition to earning the ire of Von Teese, the Reality Von Tease account stirred up major drama on RHOSLC.

For the past three years, Reality Von Tease had been “annihilating and exposing Jen Shah,” Heather Gay explained in a confessional interview in the season 4 finale. But the account also “expanded to troll all of us: me, Whitney [Rose], Meredith [Marks], Lisa [Barlow]. These were character assassinations. We never knew who it was.”

Then, during a trip to Bermuda to celebrate Monica’s birthday, Heather received a call confirming Reality Von Tease’s identity. She wasted no time in sharing the shocking news with the other ladies.

“Monica is not who she says she is,” Heather said. “She’s not our friend. She’s someone that has schemed and worked to infiltrate our friend group. And the name that you all know her as, the woman whose birthday was celebrated, who we’ve been trying to champion and support and defend is Reality Von Tease.”

Heather confronted Monica at dinner with the rest of the cast. She slammed the other woman as a “f*cking bully” who does “not deserve to be at this table or anywhere near any of us for the way you’ve treated us!”

At first, Monica denied having anything to do with the troll account. But she later fessed up, though she claimed she was just one of several people involved.

“Von Tease was never just one person,” she said in a confessional. “It wasn’t just me. There were several other humans involved, but bottom line, our mission was to take down Jen. The other women were just collateral damage.”

“I knew that this information would come out,” she added. “Even Gossip Girl couldn’t stay Gossip Girl forever.”

In the final episode of her Archetypes podcast, Meghan spoke with Andy Cohen, executive producer for Real Housewives. They touched on her love for the franchise in the past, being unsuccessful at booking a guest spot on Watch What Happens Live during her days on Suits, and a rumor about joining Real Housewives.

Specifically, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after she and Prince Harry moved to California in 2020. “I never heard that!” Meghan said of the rumor, to which Andy replied, “She has a full plate! She’s Meghan Markle! Have you never heard that? Good. I never even tried to stoke the fire because I was like, ‘Folks, that’s not happening.’”

“You mean that this is my audition for Real Housewives of Montecito? Is this the moment?” Meghan jokingly asked. Andy assured the now-42-year-old she wouldn’t have to audition. Rather, they’d build a show around her.

“There will be no reality show,” Meghan later told listeners. “But I think it’s so funny. No, I never heard that. I never heard about the Beverly Hills of it all.”

Meghan may someday appear on ‘Real Housewives’ as a guest spending time with a celebrity friend

Publicist and celebrity expert Mayah Riaz isn’t ruling out the possibility of Meghan appearing on Real Housewives for good. “The likelihood of Meghan appearing on a Real Housewives show as a cast member [is] unlikely,” she told Mirror. “While she may have expressed interest in the past, her remark about no longer craving other people’s drama suggests that she may not consider it a priority.”

Given Meghan’s “current status and commitments,” joining a reality TV show may not be high on her to-do list. Although, there may come a day when Meghan makes a one-off appearance on the show.

“Meghan has high-profile celebrity friends,” Riaz said. “If one of them were cast members, it’s possible she may make a one-off guest appearance. But it’d likely be drama-free and perhaps a scene where she is catching up with the cast member over lunch.”

Additionally, Meghan may even prove “too famous” for the show. “Meghan’s level of fame and her established brand may make it less likely for her to participate in a reality TV show like Real Housewives,” the commentator said. “She would be likely to prioritize other opportunities that align more closely with her current interests and goals.”

“I don’t think reality TV is on the cards for her, even if her career was to face struggles in the future,” she added before concluding it “could provide Meghan with a platform to showcase her activism and philanthropy.”

Under their agreement, Christian consented to a substantial spousal support arrangement. He is providing Sutton with a whopping $300,000 each month for the duration of her life.

Additionally, he is responsible for contributing $50,000 monthly for child support. The parents maintain joint physical and legal custody of their three children and have established a $3 million trust fund for them, which Christian will continue to augment.

RHOC fans aren’t the only ones who have expressed concerns about Shannon’s behavior.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Heather Dubrow said that she hopes Shannon self-reflects after her recent DUI arrest.

“I hope Shannon continues to take some space and figure out her next steps,” Heather stated.

Shannon had earlier been arrested for a hit-and-run and DUI, which led to her car ending up on someone’s private property. According to Us Magazine, her lawyer, Michael Fell, stated she’s remorseful and prepared for the legal repercussions.
